Diego Garzon Freire

Diego Garzon Freire was born on June 12, 1994, in Ecuador. From an early age, he showed a profound connection to the world of art. His formative years at the American School of Quito, known for its strong art programs, nurtured his talents across various mediums, including drawing, watercolor, engraving, acrylic painting, and even music.

 

Diego’s journey took an unexpected turn when he transitioned from the corporate world, where he worked as a financial advisory consultant at Deloitte, to becoming the personal assistant to Hollywood actor and renowned artist Jordi Mollá. Initially handling logistics, Diego’s role soon evolved into creative work. During preparations for Art Basel, he rekindled his passion for art, starting with assisting on painting backgrounds and eventually pursuing his own artistic career.

 

Today, Diego has sold nearly 40 original pieces and made a notable impact in the art world. His hyper-realistic style is distinguished by beautiful, large-format works that range in subject from homages to Picasso and the great masters, to contemporary scenes such as models sailing in the South of France. His work conveys passion, peace, love, excitement, and adrenaline.

 

As an artist, Diego’s mission is to evoke deep emotions in his viewers, leaving them with a lasting impression. His artistic influences include Jordi Mollá and Domingo Zapata, both known for their Spanish flair and the iconic influences that shape their work.
